Server | Brand Steward
As a Server-Steward at Sipeos Café & Bar, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service by preparing high-quality beverages and food items while also handling cashier duties. This role involves crafting a variety of Cold Brew Coffee Creations (no barista skills required), maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and accurately processing transactions. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, has a keen attention to detail, and enjoys interacting with customers to create a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties
Greet customers warmly, take orders, and accurately input them into the POS system.
Process payments, including cash, credit, and digital transactions, while providing correct change.
Handle customer inquiries, provide recommendations, and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keep the front counter, register area, and seating area clean and organized.
Assist with stocking inventory, such as cups, lids, and other supplies as needed.
Service | Preparation Duties
Prepare and serve a range of unique beverages, including house-made soft drinks, teas, and specialty cold brew coffee drinks, following Sipeos’ recipes and standards.
Operate coffee-making equipment, (no espresso machine!) while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Educate customers on the different beverage options, flavors, and drink preparation methods.
Maintain knowledge of the menu and suggest products to enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a server/barista/cashier.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
A passion for coffee, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
